Job summary

Achilles Information Limited is seeking an experienced IT Security Engineer to protect systems, networks and data, embedding security best practices across the organisation. The role partners with Infrastructure, Development, Support and Project teams to strengthen security posture and drive ISMS improvements.

You will monitor, detect and respond to threats, configure security tech including firewalls and VPNs, and support ISO 27001 compliance in a fast-paced, international environment.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5+ years in IT Security or cyber security.
• Strong understanding of network security, firewalls, VPNs and SIEM.
• Experience with vulnerability assessments and incident management.
• Familiarity with ISO 27001, SOC 2 and PCI DSS.
• Cloud experience: AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, routing/switching.
• Proficient with security tools: Wireshark, Nmap, Snort.
• Analytical, collaborative and communicative with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Monitor networks and systems for suspicious activity and respond to threats and incidents.
• Configure, maintain and optimise firewalls, VPNs and other security technologies.
• Conduct security audits to support ISO 27001 compliance and security objectives.
• Manage vulnerability identification, risk assessment and remediation activities.
• Support incident response investigations and post-incident reviews.
