IT Security Engineer / Cyber Security Engineer

IT Cyber Security team looking for an experienced Engineer who likes end-to-end solution delivery in IT security. Tech stack includes:

  • CyberArk
  • Mimecast
  • Antivirus
  • EDR
  • Crowdstrike
  • Security Awareness Platform (KnowBe4)
  • O365
  • Web Proxy / proxies
  • Phishing
  • Policies
  • AD / Active Directory

You will be responsible for ensuring the correct level of security integrity to protect systems, information, personal data and people from cyber-attacks and unauthorised access for an amazing client who offers progression and development.

The role is a real mix of exciting projects and BAU, offering the chance to make the role your own. The ideal candidate is proactive, eager to get stuck in and dedicated to seeing things to completion. Previous end-to-end experience in cyber security is preferred. A good all‑rounder who now specialises in IT and cyber security.

Responsibilities
  • Hands‑on Cyber Security ensuring the security and resilience of IT systems.
  • Work with the wider business to support existing and new projects for infrastructure, application, and operations teams to ensure existing systems are improved and new systems are implemented.
  • Design and architecture of security solutions.
  • Lead and support IT security projects, ensuring secure, timely, and effective project delivery.
Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of network security, endpoint protection, and threat detection/protection.
  • Experience with NIST and Cyber Essentials.
  • Experience in investigating cybersecurity tools to ensure strong, up‑to‑date defenses across on‑prem, cloud (AWS), and SaaS environments.

The role is office‑based in Staffordshire and the client offers a lovely collaborative working environment. You will receive continuous training and development and be able to see projects through end‑to‑end.
