Job Description

We’re working with a leading financial institution that’s expanding its IT Risk & Control function, adding a second headcount to strengthen its technology risk coverage. This is a hands-on role offering visibility across the full control environment and the opportunity to influence how frameworks evolve.

The Role

• Support and enhance IT risk and control frameworks across technology and cyber domains
• Take ownership of operational risk control testing (typically on an annual cycle)
• Identify and close process and governance gaps, helping shape best-practice standards
• Work across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd lines of defence, bridging technology and risk functions
• Balance reporting and framework development while building strong relationships across the business

What They’re Looking For

• Background in IT Risk, Technology Risk, or Operational Risk within financial services
• Understanding of IT general controls and exposure to cyber / information security
• Ability to spot weaknesses and recommend pragmatic solutions
• Excellent communicator who can build trust and influence senior stakeholders
• Experience with risk frameworks (e.g. NIST, COBIT, ISO27001) is a plus
