Job summary

A leading life sciences company in Wolverhampton is seeking an IT Projects representative. The role involves acting as a point of contact for IT projects, ensuring security compliance, and collaborating with various teams for successful project delivery. Ideal candidates will have strong Microsoft Windows support skills, hardware experience, and be able to travel between UK sites. This fixed-term contract offers a standard workweek from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Please note, this is a Fixed Term Contract until 31st March 2027 with the possibility to be extended.

Working hours are Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm.

Responsibilities
  • Act as an IT Projects representative during project meetings with the business.
  • Act as UK and Ireland Infrastructure team technical approval for relevant Change Requests and attend CAB meetings.
  • Ensure that the security and compliance of the IT Zone is maintained.
  • IT Infrastructure support of Eurofins Non-Integrated Entities within scope.
  • Ensure that any engineering issues are escalated as appropriate.
  • Collaborate closely with the wider Eurofins regional teams including operations, security, network, compute, cloud, and service desk teams, and local infrastructure team to ensure project delivery.
  • Be heavily involved in the delivery of a wide range of IT Projects required within the business, including but not limited to:
    • New laboratory software and instrumentation
    • Mergers, Acquisitions and Divestitures
    • New build sites or site expansions
    • Service improvements
    • Laboratory core software rollouts/upgrades
  • Responsible for progress reporting to management on key project milestones and deliverables.
  • Provide a very high level of service including a customer-first focus.
  • To partake in any developmental training as required in compliance with the Company Standard.
  • Participate in covering on-site and off-site support, which may be as part of a shift rotation.
  • Prepare technical proposals for improvement.
  • Manage, create and maintain working documentation, for example, architectural artifacts, site documentation, SOPs and FAQs.
Qualifications
  • Travel to other Eurofins UK sites will be required, therefore a full driving licence is essential.
  • In depth knowledge and experience of supporting appropriate versions of Microsoft Windows.
  • Strong hardware support skills, including maintenance of PCs, printers and other associated equipment.
  • Experience of basic Windows Server administration, including AD user creation, password administration, Group Policy etc.
  • Microsoft Exchange/Outlook client.
  • Strong Microsoft Office support skills.
  • Ticketing systems such as ServiceNow
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and organise own work.
  • Adhering to SLAs and meeting KPIs
  • A+, Server+ or similar accreditation.
