Job summary

NHS Borders is seeking a highly motivated Project Support Officer to join our Digital Team. The role provides day-to-day project support to project managers and officers to deliver the Digital Delivery Plan, working in a hybrid setup across Huntlyburn Terrace and homeworking.

The post holder will coordinate documentation, meetings and governance processes, and collaborate with clinical, operational and corporate colleagues to track milestones and manage risks.

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting projects or programmes, ideally within a healthcare or public sector setting.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Confidence working with data, documents, and reporting tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams).
• A proactive and collaborative approach to working with a wide range of stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day project support across a range of Digital programmes and workstreams.
• Coordinate meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagement activities.
• Prepare clear and concise reports and updates for senior stakeholders and governance groups.
• Support programme governance processes, including reporting cycles and assurance requirements.
• Track progress against milestones and support the identification and management of risks and issues.
• Work closely with clinical, operational, and corporate colleagues across the organisation.
