Job summary

Turner & Townsend in London is seeking an IT Project Manager / Senior PM to lead delivery of complex IT initiatives across projects from initiation to closure. You will work with stakeholders, cross-functional teams and suppliers to ensure delivery on time, within scope and budget, while applying rigorous planning and governance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years (senior PM) experience in IT projects.
• Project Management qualifications such as - AgilePM, Scrum, PRINCE2 or equivalent project management certification.
• Proven experience as an IT Project Manager delivering ITSM, ERP, CRM or Cloud Databases projects.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools and techniques.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills with stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decisions.
• Experience with MS Project and JIRA.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience across Defence, Government, Rail and Transport sectors.
• ServiceNow PM experience.

IT Project Manager, responsible for overseeing and managing various IT projects from initiation to completion. Working closely with stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and suppliers to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. A detailed planner, organising, and coordinating all aspects of IT projects to achieve the desired outcomes and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and closing of IT projects in accordance with project management best practices and methodologies.
• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and track progress against these plans throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
• Coordinate and communicate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure alignment and collaboration throughout the project.
• Monitor and control project budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure that projects are delivered within budget and on schedule.
• Manage project documentation, including project charters, requirements documents, change requests, and status reports.
• Conduct regular project status meetings and provide timely updates to stakeholders on project progress, issues, and risks.
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the project team.
• Ensure that projects adhere to organizational policies, procedures, and quality standards.
• Lead post-project reviews and lessons learned sessions to identify opportunities for improvement and best practices.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Minimum experience 3+ / 5+ yrs (SPM)
• Project Management qualifications such as - AgilePM, Scrum, PRINCE2 or equivalent project management certification.
• Proven experience as an IT Project Manager delivering one or more of the following products – ITSM (e.g. ServiceNow), ERP (e.g. Oracle / SAP), CRM (e.g. Salesforce), Cloud Data Bases (e.g. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, MS Azure).
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make data-driven decisions.
• Experience working with project management tools such as MS Project, JIRA, etc.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
