Job summary

A small international bank in London is seeking an experienced banking systems Project Manager to lead upgrades, automations and migrations across core IT platforms. Hybrid role: three days a week in the London office and two days remote, with responsibility for steering groups, vendor interactions and ensuring delivery of critical projects on time and to budget.

Responsibilities

• Manage delivery of core projects including treasury system upgrade, core banking system implementation, and branch refurbishment IT components.
• Guide steering groups and change requests through Head Office.
• Attend meetings with outsourced banking infrastructure vendors to ensure service levels.
• Oversee SWIFT ISO 20022 changes for cross-border payments.
• Oversee Phase-2 of the Murex project.
• Coordinate with Head Office on migrating Branch Guarantees to EximBills and onboarding a new front-end system.
• Ensure IT contracts and licenses are properly managed and third-party risk controlled.
• Coordinate with IT team on refurbishments to ensure smooth rebuild of IT Comms room.
• Provide support and enhancements to existing IT infrastructure, e.g., PowerBI.

Job description

A small international bank is looking for an experienced banking systems Project Manager to assist with some core existing projects; upgrades, automations and migrations.

Your responsibilities will cover:

• Assisting with the successful implementation of 3 main projects – the update of the Treasury system, the implementation of a new core banking system at the Branch and Comms Room Refurb
• Navigating the steering groups and change requests through Head Office
• Attending meetings with outsourced vendor (Banking infrastructure provider and Branch backup) to ensure high levels of service continues
• Assisting with the SWIFT Message format changes IS02022 Global changes for cross boarder payments
• Managing Phase-2 of the Murex project
• Managing in conjunction with Head Office the migration of Branch Guarantees to EximBills and the Onboarding in a new front end system for customers
• Providing oversight of Branch Third Party Risk Management for IT Contracts, ensuring Contracts and Licenses are managed correctly
• Co-ordinating with the Project team working on the Branch refurbishment to ensure smooth rebuild of the IT Comms room
• Providing support and enhancement to existing IT infrastructure – e.g. bringing in PowerBI software

Your experience must include:

• Strong proven and relevant IT project management skills gained within international banking, to lead, manage and deliver individual projects
• Good understanding of IT systems, Automations, Upgrades & Migrations, Cyber Security – including Midas, FPM, Power9 iSeries platform, iSeries IOS etc
• Excellent leadership and communication skills to liaise at all levels
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and manage workload

This role will be hybrid – working 3 days a week in the London office and 2 days remotely.
