An experienced Infrastructure Project Manager is required to lead the deployment of 5,000 laptops for a local authority in London. This is a high-profile contract role, requiring strong organisational skills and the ability to coordinate complex logistics and multiple stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Managing the end-to-end lifecycle of a major laptop deployment project.
  • Creating and maintaining a detailed project plan, schedule, and budget.
  • Working closely with internal IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Overseeing procurement, logistics, and distribution of all devices.
  • Identifying risks early, resolving deployment challenges, and ensuring compliance with IT security standards.
  • Providing regular progress updates and delivering a structured post-deployment closure.
  • Proven experience delivering large-scale IT deployments or rollouts.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, PRINCE2).
  • Skilled in vendor management with a solid grasp of IT infrastructure.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.

This is an onsite role (5 days per week) in London and is inside IR35. You'll need to hit the ground running and ensure this critical deployment stays on track.
