IT Project Manager

Location: West Northamptonshire

Contract Type: Fixed Term - 2 Years

Salary: £40,000 per annum

Hours: Monday - Friday 8AM - 5PM

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive IT Project Manager to lead the delivery of a major system migration project, transitioning from legacy systems to a modern, integrated solution. Based in West Northamptonshire, this is a fixed‑term contract for two years, offering the opportunity to play a key role in shaping our future digital landscape.

This role is ideal for someone who has successfully managed similar migration or transformation projects and thrives on managing complex timelines, stakeholder engagement, and delivering results in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the end‑to‑end planning, coordination, and execution of a large‑scale system migration project.
  • Manage relationships with internal teams, third‑party vendors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth transition and minimal disruption to services.
  • Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with senior stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, risks, and resource requirements.
  • Monitor progress against milestones and adjust plans as necessary to ensure delivery within agreed timelines and budget.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare and deliver regular status reports to senior management.
  • Oversee system testing, training, and user adoption strategies.
Requirements

Essential:

  • Proven experience in managing IT projects, particularly system migrations or similar transformation projects.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile).
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong organisational and time‑management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively manage multiple priorities.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle due to location.
