IT Project Manager – Strategic Technology Implementation - 1 Year Contract - No Sponsorship Available

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead a strategic technology initiative for a large organization. This role will oversee the implementation of a new technical stack supporting design and planning teams, including industry-standard tools and custom development. The design phase is complete, with development scheduled to begin in early 2026.

This is a high-profile project requiring a strong technical PM who can manage complexity, communicate effectively with business stakeholders, and ensure delivery excellence. In addition, the successful candidate may also be asked to manage a parallel, more routine project.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, track, and manage project budgets, plans, timelines, and scope.
• Manage project resources, including procuring staff and motivating, coaching, and advising team members.
• Partner with functional teams to define business requirements.
• Lead development teams in delivering high-quality software solutions that meet business needs.
• Define test plans and ensure products are defect-free before User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Facilitate UAT and develop rollout plans and procedures.
• Prepare and present cost-benefit analyses to stakeholders.
• Ensure appropriate systems development and project management processes are followed.
• Present updates to steering committees and project sponsors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
• PMP or PMI certification.
• Proven project management experience in large-scale, multi-platform environments.
• Strong people management and team-building skills.
• Ability to adapt and exercise judgment in a changing environment with competing priorities.
• Quick learner of business processes, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong risk assessment and management skills.
• Experience delivering technology and business application solutions.

Contract Details

This is a 1 year contract operating INSIDE IR35, with occasional office presence required in our client's London hub.
