Overview

As an IT Project Manager, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll be at the heart of delivering innovative technology solutions that support critical defence, aerospace, and engineering operations across the UK. This is your opportunity to lead impactful projects that help protect communities and enable national security, while advancing your own career in a dynamic, future-focused environment.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, execution and delivery of IT projects across all Babcock sectors
  • Track key project milestones and adjust plans to meet evolving business needs
  • Maintain full project documentation in line with Babcock's IT Project Management Process
  • Coordinate communication across stakeholders to manage scope, budget, risk, and resources
  • Ensure through-life support is embedded in all new business system solutions
  • This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday, with flexible start and finish times between 07:30 and 18:00. Your contractual location will be the closest Babcock hub to your home and occasional travel to other sites, including overnight stays will be required
  • Proven experience managing software application projects using structured methodologies
  • Strong understanding of the Applications Lifecycle Management (ALM) process
  • Experience managing both in-house development teams and third-party suppliers
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project (Project Server preferred)
  • Track record of delivering large-scale projects on time and within budget in complex environments
Qualifications
  • Certified Scrum Master, Agile certified or equivalent
  • Project Management certification such as PRINCE2, APM, or equivalent
Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) / Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
