A growing managed service provider in Chorley is seeking a 3rd Line / Project Engineer to engage with customers on projects from end to end. The successful candidate will have strong all-round IT skills and experience within an MSP environment. Are you currently working at 3rd line / a project engineer at an MSP, and looking to join a company that offers training, development, and progression?
As a project engineer, you’ll be based in the Chorley office for this growing MSP. This business is on the acquisition trail and has been winning MSPs across the country. They’re 400+ in headcount (40+ in the Chorley office) with thousands of customers across the UK.
With this being a customer facing role, you’ll be working with customers to complete their projects from end to end.
This role is for a 3rd line engineer / project engineer who may have hit a glass ceiling in their current company and wants to progress their career. You’ll need to have a what’s next approach by way technology and product offerings as this MSP are looking for someone who can come in and contribute above and beyond support work.
With this being in a managed services environment, the role is end to end and you’ll get involved through design, deployment and then ongoing service so the broader the background the better.
We’re looking for a strong Microsoft biased engineer who has experience working within an MSP. With this role being customer facing, this will suit someone with a strong service provider background. An ideal general background of you will be having strong all-round general IT skills: Windows Desktop and Server, Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), AD, Azure, VMware, Networking etc which is a given if you’ve worked within an MSP.
We’re looking for an engineer who also isn’t afraid to muck in if project work drops off (which isn’t very often) as you’ll be required to help out the 3rd line support team now and again.
