We are recruiting for an IT Procurement Manager to join our Finance team in London.

DEPARTMENT PURPOSE

Global Procurement is responsible for managing the firm's procurement and supply chain activities, working across all major spend categories within a leading global law firm. The department's core mission is to maximize value from our $500m+ third party spend, manage supply chain risks, and ensure our supply chain is supportive of the firm's broader strategic and market innovation priorities.

ROLE PURPOSE

The IT Procurement Manager is responsible for leading and managing the sourcing, negotiation, and procurement of goods and services across global IT and technology categories of spend. The role ensures that procurement activities align with the firm's strategic goals, deliver value for money, and support operational efficiency.

ROLE & RESPONSBILITIES
  • Acts as a procurement business partner, and trusted advisor to senior stakeholders within the business.
  • Manages IT categories strategically and in alignment with wider business priorities (e.g. merger integration and technology de-duplication).
  • Proactively identifies opportunities (savings, process improvement, value add) and pursues them.
  • Leads sourcing projects and commercial/contractual negotiations with support from Legal as needed.
  • Ensures IT category performance (pipeline, savings, risks, issues) is reported at an appropriate level.
  • Builds and maintains mutually beneficial relationships with key strategic suppliers.
  • Works in partnership with supplier relationship management team to ensure a holistic approach to lifecycle management.
  • Provides category insights and intelligence to drive business value globally.
  • Ensures procurement activities adhere to firm policies and data protection procedures.
  • Deputises for the Procurement Lead (IT) as required.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
  • Proven experience in IT procurement, and preferably in a professional services environment.
  • Knowledge of best practice procurement.
  • Proven track record of building relationships and influencing at a senior level.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, read situations, and make informed decisions.
  • Assertive, authentic, accountable and values driven.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and in a transitional environment.
  • Resilient, and can remain focused on the bigger picture in the face of setbacks.
  • MCIPs qualification desirable.
