Job summary

A dynamic organisation in Greater London is seeking an experienced IT Operations Manager to lead infrastructure, support, and service desk teams. The role focuses on managing third-party suppliers and ensuring operational excellence. Candidates should have proven experience in IT Operations, strong skills in Active Directory, Office 365, network administration, and a solid understanding of cybersecurity management. This strategic role involves leading a team, aligning IT strategies with business goals, and enhancing service delivery.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing IT Operations teams.
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory and Office 365 administration.
  • Network administration experience (TCP / IP, DNS, WAN / LAN / Wi‑Fi).
  • Experience supporting both Windows and macOS environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage IT budgets and third-party suppliers.
  • Strong interpersonal and service delivery skills.
  • Advanced technical knowledge of enterprise systems and productivity tools.
  • Demonstrated experience managing cybersecurity operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the internal helpdesk, ensuring exceptional technical support.
  • Coach and manage the IT Operations team to uphold service excellence.
  • Develop and maintain support processes for incident and problem resolution.
  • Oversee planning and delivery of infrastructure services.
  • Maintain and evolve infrastructure documentation and policies.
  • Identify and implement enhancements based on performance trends.
  • Ensure robust data security, backup, and recovery operations.
  • Manage third-party contracts and budgets for value and SLA compliance.
  • Build relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Lead R&D into new technologies aligned with strategic goals.
