Job description

We are looking for an experienced IT Operations Manager to join our IT team to provide leadership to the Technical Support team. The role will manage and support the technical Infrastructure alongside our Infrastructure Manager, ensuring adherence to security standards whilst enabling the team to provide timely and effective support to internal and external customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring appropriate cyber security systems are in place to protect Moneyfacts and keep up to date with best practice. They will also provide infrastructure services vision, enable innovation and leverage IT trends that can create business value consistent with Moneyfacts' requirements and expectations.

Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership to the Technical Support team and collaborate with the Infrastructure Manager to manage and support the technical infrastructure, ensuring security standards are met and that internal and external customers receive timely and effective support.
  • Oversee and ensure appropriate cyber security systems and governance are in place, aligned with best practice to protect Moneyfacts.
  • Offer an infrastructure services vision, enable innovation, and leverage IT trends that create business value in line with Moneyfacts’ requirements and expectations.
Qualifications
  • Preferred 5 years of recent, relevant experience.
  • Experience in managing suppliers.
  • Expertise in change planning.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of relevant technologies:
  • Virtualisation of Server and Desktop environments using VMware.
  • Windows Server/Desktop operating systems.
  • Active Directory and Group Policy.
  • Networking (Routers, Switches and Firewalls), VLANs and IP Routing.
  • Microsoft 365 Exchange.
  • Ability to work well under pressure; a passion for technology and a desire to keep up with the latest developments.
  • Ability to perform out-of-hours maintenance as required.
  • Experience of being a Team Leader.
  • Formal certification in a relevant area.
  • Experience of ISO/IEC 27001.
