Job summary

Context Recruitment Limited partners with a global organisation to recruit a Head of IT in London on a hybrid basis. You will lead enterprise-wide technology services, shaping IT strategy across applications, infrastructure and security while guiding a high-performing team.

You will report to the Group IT Director and drive digital transformation, cloud adoption and M&A integration, ensuring compliant, resilient services and measurable improvements through KPIs and SLAs.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading IT Operations, Infrastructure, Applications and Service Management.
• Proven ability to manage outsourced IT service providers and vendor relationships.
• Experience delivering large-scale digital transformation programmes, including mergers and acquisitions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the operational IT strategy aligned with wider business objectives.
• Ensure reliable, secure and scalable IT services across the organisation.
• Lead major incident, problem and service management activities.
• Oversee enterprise applications, infrastructure, cloud platforms and end-user technologies.
• Drive continual service improvement through KPIs and SLAs.
• Manage IT operational budgets, supplier relationships and contracts.
• Lead technology due diligence and integration activities for mergers and acquisitions.
• Support digital transformation programmes including automation, AI adoption and modern workplace initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with governance, regulatory and security standards including ISO 27001, ISO 42001, Cyber Essentials Plus and GDPR.
• Develop, mentor and inspire a high-performing technology team.
