Qualifications

  • 5+ years delivering technology or infrastructure projects in financial services.
  • Proven track record delivering on time and on budget in complex enterprises.
  • Strong governance, reporting and stakeholder management experience.
  • Experience managing budgets, forecasting and financial controls.
  • Ability to lead multiple concurrent projects and cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall SDLC/PDLC.
  • Understanding risk, compliance and governance in financial institutions.
  • Experience managing vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of infrastructure and technology projects from initiation through to delivery and closure.
  • Define project scope, baseline plans, budgets, timelines, and benefits tracking.
  • Ensure all projects adhere to the organisation’s project delivery frameworks and governance standards.
  • Produce clear and concise reporting for senior stakeholders, portfolio committees, and executive forums.
  • Manage project risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies (RAID) while ensuring appropriate escalation where required.
  • Collaborate with technology, business and operational teams to ensure successful delivery of change initiatives.
  • Manage project budgets and forecasts, including estimate-at-complete and change control processes.
  • Lead and facilitate steering committees and working groups, ensuring accountability for project actions and timelines.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors to support project delivery.
  • Provide change management expertise, helping stakeholders navigate operational and organisational change.

IT Infrastructure Project Manager – London (Hybrid) – Investment Banking – Up to £85,000 + Bonus

Overview

A leading Tier 1 Investment Bank is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Project Manager to join its Technology portfolio team in London. This role will be responsible for delivering key infrastructure and technology initiatives across the EMEA region, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with governance standards.

You will work across a diverse portfolio of infrastructure and technology change initiatives, collaborating with senior stakeholders, technology teams, and business units to drive strategic programmes that support the bank’s operational resilience and technology transformation.

This is an excellent opportunity for a delivery-focused Project Manager with strong governance experience within financial services to work within a complex, global banking environment.

Required Experience
  • 5+ years’ project management experience delivering technology or infrastructure projects within financial services.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget in complex enterprise environments.
  • Strong experience in project governance, reporting, and stakeholder management.
  • Experience managing investment budgets, cost forecasting and financial controls.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall (SDLC / PDLC).
  • Strong understanding of risk, compliance and governance frameworks within financial institutions.
  • Experience managing vendors and third-party suppliers.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and executive committees.
  • Degree educated (or equivalent experience).
  • Project management certifications such as PRINCE2, PMI or similar are advantageous.
