IT Helpdesk Technician

Newark, Full Time, Permanent

Salary £27,000 per annum

Our well-established, Newark based client has an exciting opportunity for an IT Helpdesk Technician to join their growing team on a full time, permanent basis.

THE ROLE

As an IT Helpdesk Technician, you'll be responsible for maintaining stock inventory and all the equipment in the IT storeroom, as well as:

  • Work with stock ordering and receipt goods as they arrive
  • Prepare hardware for delivery to customers and delivery notes
  • Deliver and install hardware to customers
  • Train customer on use of goods and ensure customer is satisfied before leaving
  • Respond to either first line support or end user software or hardware queries via email, ticketing system, phone or face to face
  • Follow the outsourced businesses processes and procedures
  • Work with the IT Manager and wider support team to ensure any recurring technical issues
  • Update the ticketing system, ensuring the call has been logged and all notes, progress and required actions have been inputted
  • Continuously improve knowledge and understanding across the various software and hardware technologies
THE CANDIDATE

The ideal IT Helpdesk Technician will have experience within a first or second-line support role, as well as:

  • Ability to problem solve within a technical environment
  • Strong customer service approach and team player
  • 365 Admin experience
  • Security Compliance experienceExperience of working with helpdesk ticketing systems
  • Valid UK driving license
  • Experience with Azure Cloud (Desirable)
  • Experience with Windows Server (Apply online only) (Desirable)
  • Experience with Firewall / Router Configurations (Desirable)
