Join Tarmac’s Finance & IT Controls Graduate Programme and be part of a team driving digital transformation through robust governance, risk management, and financial analysis. This role sits at the intersection of IT and Finance, offering exposure to control frameworks, audit processes, financial modelling, and the use of automation tools to enhance efficiency and insight generation. Graduates will contribute to both control assurance and financial reporting activities, supporting key initiatives across the business.

What you’ll be doing
  • IT Governance & Risk Management – Support control design, risk assessments, and compliance monitoring (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
  • Financial Planning & Analysis – Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and ROI modelling for technology investments.
  • Automation & Insight Generation – Apply tools and techniques to streamline control testing and financial reporting.
  • Control and Assurance – Support the design, documentation, and testing of IT controls across systems and processes. Assist with internal and external audit activities, including evidence collection and remediation tracking. Contribute to IT risk assessments and maintain the IT risk register. Participate in assurance reviews and control maturity assessments. Monitor compliance with relevant regulatory requirements such as GDPR and ISO 27001. Collaborate with IT, Cybersecurity, and Business Operations teams to promote awareness of control frameworks. Assist in the development of dashboards and reports for control and assurance metrics.
  • Finance Analysis – Support the preparation and monitoring of IT budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis. Contribute to financial modelling for technology investments, including return on investment and cost‑benefit analysis. Collaborate with IT project managers to track project expenditure and capitalisation. Analyse trends in technology spending and identify opportunities for cost optimisation. Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for senior stakeholders. Assist in the development of business cases for new technology initiatives. Ensure adherence to internal financial controls and compliance with financial policies.
