A leading energy organization in the UK is seeking an IT Field Support Specialist to provide essential IT support at West Burton. You will handle 1st and 2nd line support, oversee network performance, and assist with software applications like Microsoft 365. The ideal candidate has an HNC in Computing, excellent knowledge of operating systems, and strong communication skills, contributing to a mission for clean energy and diversity in STEM.
The salary for this role is 42858 (inclusive of a Specialist Allowance). On‑site working is expected for 5 days a week; however we actively support requests for flexible working. This role is based at West Burton, Nottinghamshire. Employees must complete an online Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS), including Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks for criminal convictions and possibly a search of open source data. As an IT Field Support Specialist you will play a pivotal role within the IT Support Team, delivering a service model adhering to ITIL best practices with an emphasis on timely and efficient management of incidents and service requests. This role is strategically positioned as the face of the Computing Division to the Business within this group at West Burton and serving other appointed remote sites under the supervision of the IT Support Team Leader. The Computing Division is based at Culham; you will be independently working at West Burton.
