Overview

We are seeking an experienced ICT support / field engineer to join our established and growing team on a full time basis, covering a wide range of ICT duties for a specialist Education focused managed service provider.

Responsibilities
  • Provide support and consultancy by telephone, remote support and on-site on a day to day basis.
  • Attend daily site visits in Thurrock and Basildon areas and possibly further afield on rare occasions.
  • Travel as required, with use of a car and a full UK driving licence.
Requirements
  • 1+ year relevant experience.
  • A full UK driving licence and vehicle.
  • An Enhanced DBS (the cost of which will be met by the employer).
  • Strong understanding and experience with current Windows Server products and services (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy).
  • Strong administration and maintenance experience with Microsoft 365, including Office 365, Intune, Google Education, etc.
  • Desktop and Server hardware upgrade/installation and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of up-to-date Windows desktop operating systems and applications.
  • Experience with helpdesk systems (managing and responding to support requests with SLAs).
  • Good networking experience (TCP/IP topologies, switches, routers).
  • Security solutions (Anti-Virus, Anti-Spam, Firewalling, UTM).
  • Onsite and offsite backup and recovery services and procedures.
