Position Title: IT Field Technician

Location: Leeds

Contract: £250pd

Job Purpose
  • Deploy and configure laptops for healthcare users across various locations.
  • Having a specialised role focused on field devices will enhance the team's ability to manage and maintain equipment that operates predominantly outside of central office environments.
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience in equipment deployment and technical support.
  • Proficiency in tracking project progress using burn-down charts.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to liaise effectively with end users.
  • Flexibility in approach and excellent interpersonal communication.

  • Deploy and configure new devices.
  • Manage the collection and proper disposal of outdated equipment.

  • Safely transport and deliver equipment to designated locations.
  • Operate independently, working remotely from the main team and managing your own schedule.
Contract Details
  • Duration: 2 weeks of training, followed by the deployment of approximately 160 laptops across 19 healthcare organisations.
  • Project Start: November/December 2025
  • Contract End: Initial term ending 31st March 2026
  • Rate of Pay: £25 - £30 per hour
  • Security Clearance: BPSS required
  • Employment Status: Inside IR35
