Job summary

Yorkshire Water is seeking a Programme Manager to lead IT, data and digital change within the Tech team in West Yorkshire. You’ll drive large-scale data initiatives, engage senior stakeholders and deliver programmes on time, shaping governance and benefits realisation across the organisation.

The role is permanent, 37 hours, hybrid working (1-2 days in the office). A competitive package includes salary up to £85,000, a £6k car allowance and an annual bonus up to 15%, plus extensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering large IT, data or digital transformation programmes.
• Proven portfolio, programme and project delivery experience in data-focused roles.
• Qualified in recognised project methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2, MSP, APM, Agile).
• Excellent stakeholder management and senior-leader communication.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary delivery teams with budget responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high-performing programme team to deliver against strategic goals.
• Drive end-to-end delivery of complex data programmes on time and within budget.
• Collaborate with Delivery Managers, Programme Managers and Business Change teams.
• Champion improvements in data governance, quality and compliance.
• Shape programmes from inception with business cases and benefits realisation.
• Manage budgets, forecasts and investment decisions per governance policies.
• Identify/manage risks, issues and dependencies with escalation as needed.
• Engage stakeholders up to senior executives to drive alignment.
• Governance, reporting and performance tracking for transparency and control.
• Foster collaboration across business, data, technology and partners.
• Promote health & safety, risk management and operational standards.
