Job summary

Canopius is recruiting for a Procurement Category Manager – IT & Data in Manchester. The role leads end-to-end category management, sourcing, and supplier oversight for software, cloud, infrastructure, and data services across the organisation.

You will partner with Technology and Data leadership to deliver value, manage risk, and ensure governance compliance, while driving performance and renewal strategies in a hybrid Manchester office environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Procurement Category Manager or IT Procurement Manager.
• Strong understanding of software licensing and cloud/saas models.
• Hands-on experience using Workday Sourcing for sourcing and pipeline management.

Responsibilities

• Own IT & Data category strategy and align with roadmaps and standards.
• Lead end-to-end sourcing activities including RFIs, RFPs, and negotiations.
• Develop and negotiate commercial models including usage and licensing.
• Ensure contracts reflect agreed commercial, service, risk and compliance requirements.
• Track category performance, savings, and supplier performance via MI.
• Coordinate with IT service management, cyber, and data teams on supplier issues.
