About the role

Hargreaves Lansdown (HL) is recruiting for an IT Audit Manager to join the IT Audit Team. The IT Audit Manager will lead end-to-end IT internal audit engagements, ensure high standards in audit work, manage stakeholder relationships, and provide assurance on internal controls and risk management through clear audit reports that challenge management to improve governance, risk management, and internal controls.

What you’ll be doing

1. Working with the Head of Audit for direction; but ultimately leading the end-to-end audit.
2. Building and maintaining strong professional relationships across the business.
3. Helping HL achieve its objectives by evaluating and improving risk management and control processes across all business areas, influencing management to make improvements.
4. Applying strong analytical skills to mine data for insights and effective audit testing.
5. Working independently or leading small teams, including third-party auditors.
6. Contributing to audit planning with a strategic perspective based on experience.
7. Mentoring and coaching team members.
8. Seeking continuous improvement in methodology and work practices, including maintaining an effective QA framework.

About you

1. Ideally, you’ll be CISA qualified or working towards CISA, or have other relevant qualifications like CRISC or CISSP, demonstrating a growth mindset.
2. Experience auditing technical security and resilience IT controls across the technology stack, such as application and infrastructure layers.
3. Experience auditing IT transformation/change processes, especially IT change management.
4. Working knowledge of data analytics.
5. Proven ability to independently manage end-to-end audits with high-quality reporting.
6. Strong analytical, communication, and influencing skills.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills.
8. High attention to detail.
9. Internal IT audit experience within financial services is preferred.

Interview process

There will be a two-stage interview process and a task. The second stage will be a face-to-face interview at our Bristol office.

Working Schedule

This role is based in Bristol, BS1 5HL. It is a permanent, full-time position, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We offer a hybrid flexible working pattern, allowing you to work from home and come into the office two days a week.
