Job summary

Advanced Resource Managers Ltd is seeking an IT Assurance Lead for a Reading-based 6-month contract. You will drive Security by Design, oversee compliance across applications, infrastructure and cloud environments, and ensure risk-based controls throughout the development lifecycle.

The role requires deep knowledge of IT assurance frameworks (ISO 44001, NIST 800-53/171/172, NIS2, DEFSTAN, JSP), strong cross-functional leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to implement secure

Qualifications

• Experience in IT assurance and defence IT or similar complex industry.
• Knowledge of major IT assurance frameworks (ISO 44001, NIST 800-53, 800-171, 800-172, NIS2, DEFSTAN, JSP).
• Excellent communicator with collaborative style across programme functions.
• Experience implementing Security by Design across the full development lifecycle.
• Experience with risk and incident management.

Responsibilities

• Security by Design & Compliance: Safeguard applications, infrastructure and cloud environments throughout their lifecycle.
• Secure Development: Define and follow secure development guidelines and embed requirements.
• Monitoring & Assurance: Ensure continuous compliance with established standards and procedures.
• Risk Management: Oversee risk management and recommend improvements to systems and processes.
• Cross Functional Leadership: Lead across development, operations and programme teams to assure secure solutions.
• Continuous Improvement: Lead security enhancements and initiatives across the programme.
