A leading food & drink wholesaler in the UK is seeking an IS Analyst (Branch Systems) to support the branch systems team and ensure operational efficiency. The role involves bug identification and software testing within in-house systems, along with providing 3rd line support. Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and prior testing experience. Flexible working options are available.
We’ve got a great opportunity to join the team that looks after the branch systems used across our Business Centres. Our Branch Systems team is responsible for our in-house system (MIDAS), which supports both Booker and Makro sites. You’ll be working closely with our Development and Operations teams to make sure everything runs smoothly, securely, and efficiently.
As an IS Analyst (Branch Systems), you’ll be part of the wider IS team at Booker, helping to identify and report software bugs within the MIDAS applications. A bit of technical know-how and some previous experience in software testing would definitely be an advantage.
In addition to supporting the branch systems team deliver projects, it is expected that the successful candidate will offer 3rd line support to the Technical Support team. This involves being on call to offer out of hours support on a 1 week in 4 basis.
In this position, a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills are required. While competent in creating and executing test cases and ensuring a high quality of testing, you will need to:
