Qualifications

• Experience in Teaching and Education is desirable.
• Involvement in clinical audits is desirable.
• Quality Improvement Service improvement projects are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain a patient-focused service across the nursing team.
• Foster professionalism by motivating and empowering the multidisciplinary care team.
• Facilitate staff communication and ensure effective documentation.
• Promote clear communication with patients, especially in sensitive situations.
• Act as a patient advocate and ensure informed care management.
• Manage incidents and complaints effectively according to Trust policies.
• Audit nursing documentation and implement improvements.

Skills

Acute Intestinal / Gastro working experience

Competence in enteral and parenteral nutrition management (TPN / PN)

Ability to care for and manage central venous access devices (CVADs / PICCs)

Fistula and stoma care experience

Education

Leadership or mentorship qualification
