Job summary

Starling Bank in London seeks an IRRBB reporting analyst to join the Treasury's IRRBB team. This hands-on role builds an accurate view of risks guiding strategic decisions and ensuring Starling's safety and growth.

You will produce regulatory and internal IRRBB reporting from the ALM system, develop ETL processes, and implement robust data controls for timely, precise outputs. The ideal candidate has a numerical degree, ALM/IRRBB experience, strong data handling skills (Excel/SQL/Python), and

Qualifications

  • Graduate level education in a numerical field is preferred.
  • Experience using an ALM system to generate IRRBB risk metrics is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of IRRBB and how risks arise in a retail bank.
  • Experience with data handling in Excel, SQL and ideally Python.
  • Familiarity with GitHub and databases is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Producing internal and regulatory IRRBB reporting from the bank’s ALM system.
  • Ensuring all reporting output is complete, accurate, and timely.
  • Designing and running processes for production of the bank’s risk reporting.
  • Supporting development of ETL code and processes upstream of the ALM system.
  • Building controls and checks on upstream data feeds and on ALM outputs.
  • Investigating and resolving errors within reported figures.
  • Creating tools to perform calculations where reporting occurs outside the system.
  • Developing tools to process system output prior to presentation to stakeholders.
