Qualifications
Essential criteria
  • Degree in a Biomedical Science related subject acceptable to the HCPC
  • HCPC registration as a Radiographer
  • Relevant qualification to Masters level degree in relevant field or Apprenticeship level 7 or Higher Specialist Diploma or demonstrable equivalent knowledge and experience
  • Recognised management/leadership qualification or attendance at short courses on relevant management issues
Desirable criteria
  • Training for Trainers qualification
Knowledge
Essential criteria
  • A wide knowledge of current methodology and developments in Imaging
  • A thorough understanding of UKAS ISO accreditation.
  • A thorough understanding of Health & Safety legislation.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience of working within a Quality Management System
  • Evidence of strategic planning
  • Evidence of accuracy and attention to detail
Training and Experience
Essential criteria
  • Experience of managing a departmental section/ team at a senior level
  • Proven leadership, supervisory and management experience.
  • Experience of supervising and training junior medical staff
  • Experience of managing a laboratory through a formal accreditation process (e.g UKAS ISO)
  • Proven experience of contribution to Clinical governance processes
Desirable criteria
  • Training for and experience of High Level Incident investigation
  • Training in quality management

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
