Are you passionate about improving the response to domestic and sexual violence and abuse (DSVA)? We're looking for a driven and compassionate ADViSE Advocate Educator to help embed specialist support across local sexual health clinics and empower patients affected by abuse.

About the Role

As an ADViSE Advocate Educator, you will play a key role in strengthening how sexual health services identify, support, and refer individuals affected by DSVA. You'll collaborate with clinics across the area, deliver specialist training, and provide direct advocacy to patients who have experienced domestic or sexual abuse.

Your work will help ensure professionals feel confident asking about abuse, responding safely, and connecting patients with the support they need.

  • Deliver in-house DSVA training to clinical and non-clinical staff.

  • Provide ongoing specialist advice, guidance, and support to participating clinics.

  • Maintain accurate monitoring data and support the embedding of the programme locally.

Advocacy & Direct Support
  • Provide needs-led, trauma-informed support to individuals affected by DSVA.

  • Carry out assessments, safety planning, and risk management.

  • Offer advice around rights, housing, legal options, welfare, and safeguarding.

  • Work collaboratively with external partners and specialist support services.

  • Experience delivering training to professionals.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage a varied workload, and use initiative.
  • Commitment to feminist values, anti-oppressive practice, and equality.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and maintaining clear, accurate records.
  • Degree level education or relevant professional qualifications are required.
