Role Description
Job Purpose: Working as part of a team to own the manufacturing process and to deliver the key performance objectives in the QCDSP framework, whilst maintaining the operational plant in the Ingredients Processing Centre. Support Bradford site vision, to be the home of operational excellence and the customer’s first choice soft drinks manufacturer.
Principle Accountabilities:
- Be supportive, act with integrity, show enthusiasm and embrace openness.
- Have an understanding of the Princes Manufacturing System (PMS) and maturity matrix, and site must win battle plans.
- Understand and implement lean manufacturing work practices including 5s, AM, problem solving (including root cause analysis) to drive continuous improvement activity at site.
- Ensure the accurate transfer and consumption of raw materials between onsite storage locations, using FIFO, Batch management principles, utilising the site IT system.
- Manufacture syrups using standard recipes, utilising the Manufacturing Execution Systems and Scada systems.
- Train and support team development in the creation and use of Standard Operating Procedures. To utilise the MES and Scada system to monitor the operational plant and resolve any error logs/system faults, compile fault log.
- Own and deliver key performance objectives using the QCDSP manufacturing framework and sustain the plant performance using the appropriate Continuous Improvement tools and techniques.
- Maintain the hygiene standards of the Ingredient Process Centre using 5S principles.
- Control the cleaning of downstream equipment liaising with external manufacturing team leaders.
- Deliver the timely supply of syrups and blends for the bottling process.
- Apply the Right First-Time principles in the preparation and correction (if required) of syrup batches for manufacturing tests.
- Maintain physical inventories and perform routine stock checks within the IPC using SAP WM, Sky WM and MES.
- All employees should carry out there duties in a responsible manner giving due consideration to Safety, Environmental and Quality procedures which are part of the Integrated Management System, specific responsibilities can be found at section 4.4.1.4 of the health and safety management system.
Key responsibilities:
- Fault finding and low-level correction Pump and valve isolation.
- MES Scada error management Chemical handing and awareness
- Mechanical maintenance basic level (AM)
- System auditing and reporting
- Performing dynamic risk assessments
- Compilation of Standard Operating procedures
- Project team involvement and delivery as required.
- Continuous Improvement of plant and process

Role Requirements
Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
- Experience of using manufacturing execution systems (MES)
- 5S and BIT trained (or equivalent NVQ qualification to Level II)
- Food Awareness and Hygiene certified
- Basic PC skills (Microsoft Office)
- Autonomous Maintenance – Basic Mechanical skills
- Effective communication and team working skills.
