Job summary

PA Consulting is offering a 8-week Summer Internship as an Intellectual Property Analyst based near Cambridge. The role targets undergraduates in AI/ML, engineering, data science or related fields, with flexibility for non-technical backgrounds showing interest in IP.

You will work with IP consultants, analyze patent landscapes, and assist with technical analysis and modeling. The position emphasizes collaboration, learning, and real project impact.

Qualifications

• Working toward an undergraduate degree in AI/ML, Engineering, Data Science, CS, or related field.
• Interest in IP and big data processing; telecom/network tech a plus.
• Willing to learn, ask questions, and develop understanding with guidance.
• Ability to collaborate and build relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Clear written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Analyze patents landscapes to assess relevance and importance.
• Research patent landscapes to understand emerging technologies and competitors.
• Support patent disputes through technical analysis of patents, products and standards.
• Assist IP consultants on structuring analysis and problems.
• Contribute to meaningful, collaborative work in a fast-paced environment.
