About the role

As the IoT Technical Architect, you will provide technical leadership for IoT systems infrastructure and tools, including Data (Fabric, AI/ML), Digital Twins, DevOps, MLOps, and integrations into IoT cloud solutions. Using your knowledge of the technologies and the business, you will underpin the defined strategy to maximise value to YTL UK. The role holder will be pivotal to the success of the IoT competency centre, contributing to stakeholder approval, forming relationships and structures, and driving change and efficiency gains. This is a Technical Architect role, and you can expect to be hands‑on coding, providing technical guidance and expertise, as well as coaching, mentoring and developing team members so they can grow, take on more complex IoT tasks and lead them to success. You will be the technical lead of the IoT lab, responsible for proof‑of‑values in the AI/ML and cloud domains.

Qualifications
  • Extensive knowledge of IoT, Cloud and Software Development technologies
  • Experience developing enterprise‑scale IoT solutions, digital twins, application architecture, database architecture, and networking (essential)
  • Awareness of all aspects of a deployed system, including security, resiliency, performance, stability and cost
  • Solid understanding and hands‑on experience of ML, anomaly detection and analytics tools, models and algorithms (e.g. Pandas, SciKit, AzureML, TensorFlow, Databricks, ADX)
  • Experience with the complete software development lifecycle, including DevOps/CI/CD/Automation
  • Hands‑on development experience in C# and Python as a minimum
  • Keen interest in IoT connectivity and the benefits it can bring to the YTL Group
  • Customer‑focused, able to work unsupervised and efficient in organising and planning your workload to meet project needs
