Job summary

Optimus Search is seeking experienced Field Service Engineers specializing in Ion Implantation equipment for a major semiconductor installation and service programme in the UK.

The project will involve installation, commissioning and ongoing support of complex ion implantation systems with multiple tools deployed across the programme. We are especially interested in engineers who have worked for semiconductor equipment manufacturers supporting ion implant/ion beam systems.

Qualifications

• Experienced Field Service Engineers with Ion Implantation equipment experience.
• Prior work for semiconductor equipment manufacturers supporting ion implant/ion beam systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Installation and commissioning of complex ion implantation equipment
• Tool start-up, qualification and production ramp
• Preventive and corrective maintenance
• Troubleshooting equipment failures and minimising downtime
• Diagnostics across electrical, electronic and mechanical systems
• Working with high-vacuum systems, pumps, beam technology and process equipment
• Root-cause analysis and calibration
• Hardware and software upgrades
• Liaising with semiconductor fab engineering teams
• Technical escalation and documentation
• Onsite support throughout installation and production phases
