Overview

CPP Investments is seeking an experienced and dynamic investment professional to join our growing Secondaries team in London. Operating with a truly one global team model, our Secondaries professionals collaborate closely across offices in Toronto, London and New York. As a Principal you will play a lead role in the execution of private equity secondary investment opportunities across both Europe and North America. The Secondaries group is part of the Funds & Secondaries platform within CPP Investments Private Equity Department. We invest directly across the full spectrum of private equity secondaries market, including LP‑led, GP‑led and structured transactions. The team leverages CPP Investments’ scale, deep and long‑standing GP relationships and a strong track record to build a world‑class secondaries investment platform.

Responsibilities
  • Lead all aspects of secondary transactions including due diligence, financial analysis, investment committee materials and discussions
  • Drive deal execution including term negotiations, legal documentation and closing processes
  • Manage and support junior team members in deal execution, providing coaching, feedback and professional development
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key market participants, including GPs, advisors and counterparties
  • Actively participate in team meetings, contributing to discussions and Q&A on deals presented by other team members
  • Contribute to the refinement of investment strategy, portfolio management and other firm‑wide initiatives
  • Contribute to a high‑performance collaborative team culture through mentorship, talent development and active knowledge‑sharing
  • Represent CPP Investments externally, clearly communicating our strategy and investment approach in the market.
