Purpose

As an Investment Operations Analyst within the Investment Operations team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering London CIV's fund launches, modifications, and transitions. Reporting to the Head of Operations, you'll oversee end-to-end execution, governance, and process optimisation to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest operational standards.

This is a dynamic role that also supports broader operational activity, flexing as needed to cover functions such as subscriptions and redemptions, reflecting the evolving nature of our growing business.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to operational readiness across LCIV's fund range and Partner Fund pooled accounts, supporting our Fit for the Future transformation programme and strategic growth ambitions.

What You'll Be Doing
Fund Launches & Modifications
  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of fund launches and modifications, ensuring all aspects are executed in line with agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Oversee the preparation and management of fund-related documentation, including IMAs, Prospectuses, Side Letters, Operating Memorandums, and FCA submissions.
  • Ensure governance, compliance, and stakeholder alignment throughout each launch or modification.
  • Support the implementation and appointment of Investment Managers and General Partners.
Fund Transitions
  • Plan and coordinate fund transitions, including asset transfers, cash flows, and manager handovers, ensuring minimal disruption and strong risk management.
  • Liaise with custodians, fund accountants, investment managers, and transition managers to ensure smooth execution.
Governance & Reporting
  • Produce and maintain detailed project plans, risk logs, and management information for Steering Committees and senior stakeholders.
  • Coordinate the preparation of internal committee approval papers, ensuring accuracy and consistency of operational inputs.
Operational Process & Change
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in fund launch and transition processes, streamlining procedures and enhancing controls.
  • Support delivery of assigned change initiatives across the Operations function, ensuring efficient execution and adherence to governance standards.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
  • Oversee key third-party relationships, including fund administrators, custodians, and transition managers, to ensure seamless service delivery and accountability.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including Investments, Legal, Compliance, and Client Relations to ensure operational readiness.
Team Collaboration & Wider Support
  • Contribute to cross-functional initiatives, providing support to the wider Investment Operations team (e.g., subscriptions, redemptions, reconciliations) as required.
  • Promote a culture of shared learning, operational excellence, and collaboration across the team.
What You'll Bring
Essential
  • Proven track record in managing fund launches, modifications, and transition projects within investment management.
  • Experience with public and private market fund structures and associated documentation (IMAs, Prospectuses, FCA filings).
  • Strong understanding of custodial and fund administration processes.
  • Project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex deliverables simultaneously.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including experience engaging senior stakeholders and external partners.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with a proactive approach to identifying and managing operational risks.
Desirable
  • Knowledge of pooled fund structures, including ACS and limited partnership vehicles.
  • Understanding of regulatory obligations for AIFMs.
  • Experience working with local government pension schemes (LGPS) is an advantage.
  • Exposure to broader investment operations functions such as dealing, cash management, and reconciliations.
