We are seeking an experienced investor at the Managing Director level to oversee private client assets ranging from €100 million to several billion euros. The Managing Director will lead a multi‑jurisdictional investment team that manages discretionary and non‑discretionary portfolios for family offices across Europe. The role focuses on delivering top‑tier investment performance, maintaining high client satisfaction, and developing the next generation of investment talent.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the investment team in building diversified portfolios that reflect clients’ customized objectives.
  • Select and evaluate investment managers across all asset classes.
  • Present regularly to clients, building strong relationships with sophisticated investors, family members, boards, and external advisors.
  • Develop and implement investment objectives, policies, and asset allocations for complex portfolios and trust structures.
  • Represent Cambridge Associates externally through marketing presentations, conferences and other business‑development activities.
  • Partner with Global Client Solutions to cultivate new client relationships, build referral networks, qualify prospects, and lead investment‑team pitches.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 20 years of investment experience, ideally at an investment firm, large institutional investor, or family office.
  • BA/BS required; MBA or CFA strongly preferred.
  • Well‑developed network within the family‑office community.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with ability to translate complex concepts for clients.
  • Deep investment acumen and capital‑market experience; skilled at identifying and evaluating managers.
  • Track record of building and retaining books of business.
  • Proficient in one or more European languages preferred.
  • Must be based in London.
