About this Role

The role of Investment Manager - Portfolio at Better Society Capital offers a unique opportunity to lead and manage the organization's multi asset Treasury Portfolio. This position is integral in advancing key components of the Social Impact Investment Portfolio, utilizing expertise in investment and financial markets to enhance social and financial outcomes. The successful candidate will gain exposure across charity bonds, venture, and property investments, and will be crucial in performance monitoring, liquidity management, and strategic initiative support. Working closely with the Middle Office, Finance Teams, and external advisor XPS, the Investment Manager will actively engage in Treasury Portfolio performance reporting, market condition analysis, and investment ideas shaping. The position invites you to partner with diverse fund managers and collaborate on high impact projects while fostering a strong impact investing team culture and practice.

Responsibilities
  • Lead investment analysis and performance monitoring for treasury holdings.
  • Manage Treasury Portfolio performance reporting.
  • Collaborate with XPS on market conditions and investment ideas.
  • Participate in liquidity management meetings.
  • Support strategic initiatives related to Treasury Portfolio delivery.
  • Manage a portfolio of social impact investments towards exit and financial returns delivery.

  • Capture portfolio learnings to benefit underserved communities.
  • Collaborate with property, venture, and lending teams on portfolio projects.
