Your role

Are you a strong analytical and inventive thinker? Do you enjoy following the financial markets and working as a team to assess underwriting terms and helping selling risk to investors?

We’re looking for an investment banking Associate to:

  • maintain databases to track market activity and help prepare pitch book presentations to explain market trends and conditions
  • work alongside the origination team to assess and analyze credit and market risk
  • prepare materials on distribution risk to credit committee
  • assist in syndicating underwritten financing to investors

which requires deep understanding of credit risk

  • help manage the administration of deal roadshows and keep tracker of investor demand and order books
  • manage internal booking of risk positions, reporting P&L and liaising with the finance and operations teams
Your team

You’ll be working in the Leveraged Capital Markets team in London. Our team is responsible for originating, underwriting and syndicating debt transactions for corporate and sponsor clients as well as working with internal partners in credit risk control in assessing risk positions. You’ll play an important role in advising clients on a range of market and strategic matters, including assessment of capital structure alternatives and financing options.

Your expertise
  • good understanding and hands-on exposure to assessing market and credit risk
  • experience working within capital markets, credit risk control or leverage finance in investment banking
  • bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • solid financial analysis skills, with the ability to produce accurate presentation material quickly
  • ability to partner with other groups across the bank
