Job summary

Fuels Capital in London is seeking an Investment Associate to join our expanding deal team. You will work end-to-end across origination, credit analysis, structuring and closing, collaborating directly with senior partners on transactions up to EUR 25m.

You will build financial models, assess collateral (real estate, shares, private assets) and prepare memos for the Investment Committee while supporting relationship-building with entrepreneurs, family offices and corporates.

Qualifications

• Experience in investment banking, leveraged finance or private credit.
• Solid credit and accounting fundamentals.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite prospective transactions with financial models and collateral.
• Prepare investment memos and present to the Investment Committee.
• Support origination through outreach to entrepreneurs and advisors.
• Contribute to term sheets, structuring and negotiations.
• Work with legal counsel on documentation and closing.
• Monitor portfolio post-close.
