Job summary

VWA Ltd is seeking an Investment Associate to join a leading independent advisory and investment house focused on renewable energy and energy transition technologies. The role covers building sophisticated financial models, valuation work, and turning complex outputs into clear client materials.

You will support due diligence, manage live transaction workstreams, and assist origination with market analysis and tailored pitches. Hybrid 1 day WFH, full-time role.

Qualifications

• Strong interest in investment banking with understanding of renewable energy and infrastructure sectors.
• Proven transaction experience from investment banking, consulting, corporate finance or relevant industry roles.
• Advanced financial modelling and analytical skills; excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Fluent in English; additional European languages highly desirable.

About the Investment Associate Role:

The Investment Associate duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Building and leading advanced financial models (DCF, LBO, M&A, project finance), ensuring accuracy and commercial relevance.
• Performing valuation and scenario analysis to support strategic advice and deal execution.
• Reviewing and enhancing models prepared by junior team members, ensuring consistency with best practices.
• Translating financial outputs into clear, actionable insights for client presentations and internal decision-making.
• Preparing high-quality client materials, including pitch books, investment memoranda, and board presentations.
• Coordinating due diligence and manage key workstreams across live transactions.
• Supporting origination through market analysis, tailored pitches, and relationship development in the renewable energy sector.

The successful Investment Associate will have:

• Strong interest in investment banking with solid understanding of renewable energy and infrastructure sectors.
• Proven transaction experience from investment banking, consulting, corporate finance, or relevant industry roles.
• Advanced financial modelling and analytical skills; excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills.
