NatPower is a global group specialised in renewable energy asset development, with operations in several countries. We recently entered the UK market, aiming at becoming the leading developer in the next 2-4 years as we successfully did in other geographies. Since entering the UK market, we are already the largest BESS developer in the country.

We are looking to hire a full time Investment Associate to join our team to support the Investment Director in driving forward the financial transactions of our organisation in the UK.

The role will be part of the wider finance team with some of the strongest track records in the sector. You will be working on some of the largest projects in the country. You will need to be ready to work in a flexible environment where everyone is aligned to company development.

The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Investment Associate to support our renewable energy investment team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in identifying, evaluating, and executing investment opportunities in the renewable energy sector, contributing to our mission of fostering a sustainable future.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify potential investment opportunities in renewable energy
  • Support financial modelling, due diligence, and risk assessment for prospective investments
  • Prepare detailed investment proposals and presentations for senior management and stakeholders
  • Monitor and manage the performance of existing investments, providing regular updates and reports
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, technical, and operational experts, to ensure successful project execution
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements in the renewable energy sector
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with industry stakeholders, including developers, financiers, and government agencies
The Successful Applicant

Culturally we are looking for a team player with a hands-on approach. This is especially important whilst we scale up. Humility coupled with a good sense of humour is high up on our list of character traits. There will be some hands‑on work to assist with setting up processes and booking of transactions on our financial systems.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. A Master’s degree or CFA qualification is a plus
  • 5‑7 years of experience specifically within an investment bank or private equity firm, preferably with a focus on renewable
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for renewable energy and sustainability
