Job summary

LGT Wealth Management UK LLP in the United Kingdom seeks an Investment Assistant to support client onboarding, statements and portfolio administration. You will help ensure timely account openings, prepare Investment Policy Statements, and maintain accurate client records while liaising with custodians and advisers.

You will provide regular client communications and assist with trading support and reporting, contributing to a compliant, efficient service that meets our standards and deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure account opening is fully and accurately completed.

  • Monitor progress of account opening and asset transfers to meet service standards.
  • Provide regular client information and timely reports.
  • Deal directly with clients and advisers to resolve queries about portfolios.
  • Maintain accurate client records and coordinate with custodians and teams.
  • Assist with trading activity and FX respecting regulatory deadlines.
  • Prepare meeting materials for client meetings.
  • Mentor Administrative Assistant and support their development.
  • Liaise with external custodians for required client information.
  • Proficient with internal/external systems and information feeds.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure account opening is fully and accurately completed and that all necessary documentation is provided
  • Assist in preparing Investment Policy Statements ensuring that information around client’s objectives, risk profile and financial situation is accurately recorded
  • Monitor the progress and timeliness of account opening and asset/cash transfers to meet our client service standards and keep all relevant internal and external parties informed
  • Provide regular and ad-hoc information to clients ensuring that documents and reports are accurate, consistent and dispatched to timetable
  • Deal directly with clients and their advisers to support them in resolving general queries regarding their portfolios or account opening
  • Correspondence and reporting is clear and not misleading, technically accurate and tailored to the client’s level of knowledge and understanding
  • Maintain internal management information, ensuring that it is informative, accurate, consistent and up to date
  • Assisting with preparing materials for meetings with clients.
  • Keep comprehensive client records and ensure that these are accurate and up to date at all times liaising effectively with colleagues in other departments, platforms & external custodians as necessary
  • Assist the team with trading activity and fx (when able), ensuring that trades are input accurately and within both regulatory and internal deadlines
  • Assist in tasks such as maintaining the KPIs and Portfolio Risk matters.
  • Liaise effectively with external custodians and providers to obtain information required for clients and their advisers
  • Proficient in the use of all internal and external systems and information feeds
  • Become an active member of the Investment Assistants forum.
  • Help mentor the Administrative Assistant and assisting with their development.

IT:

  • Good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of products, in particular, Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Understanding of front office systems is desirable.
