Job summary

Brookson Financial in Coventry is seeking an Investment Advisor to support clients with tailored investment strategies and products. You will assess financial circumstances, explain options, disclose information and stay compliant with regulations during client interactions.

The role offers hybrid working with a minimum of 2 days in the office and the flexibility to work from home the rest of the week; training will be office-based initially for integration.

Qualifications

• QCF Level 4 diploma required
• Knowledge of pension and investment products required
• Well organised with ability to manage time effectively
• Collaborative, team orientated with a strong work ethic
• Experience of Financial Advice sales preferred
• Experience of working within a team of advisers preferred
• General knowledge of other financial services products
• Knowledge of the Freelance and Contractor sector

Responsibilities

• Advise clients with recommendations to help meet financial requirements.
• Consult with clients on investment strategies, products and services suitable to their needs.
• Disclose required information about investments and acknowledge payments received.
• Proactively contact clients with news of new financial products or changes to legislation.
• Research and consider all retail investment products or providers to give unbiased advice.
• Conduct in-depth reviews of current financial circumstances, provision and aims.
• Meet the standards set out in the Training and Competence plan.

Established in 1995, Brookson has been supporting freelancers, contractors, and self-employed professionals for over 30 years.

We have offices in Warrington (our HQ), Bournemouth, and Coventry. Recently, we were acquired by People2.0, a global company specialising in workforce management solutions and global employment services, which means exciting opportunities for career development await you.

Our Coventry office (CV5) is easily accessible by car and an 8-minute walk from the nearest train station. We offer hybrid working, with a minimum requirement of 2 days in the office and the flexibility to work from home the rest of the week. During an initial training period, you'll be in the office full-time for team integration and peer training.

What will you be doing as an Investment Advisor?

• Advise clients with recommendations to help them to meet their financial requirements.
• Consult with clients on investment strategies, products and services that are suitable to their needs.
• Disclose the required information about an investment, avoid conflicts of interest and acknowledge payment or compensation received for products or investments.
• Proactively contact clients with news of new financial products or changes to legislation that may affect their savings or investments.
• Research and consider all retail investment products or providers available, providing unbiased advice in the process.
• Conduct in-depth reviews of current financial circumstances, current provision and future aims.
• Meet the standards set out in the Training and Competence plan.
