Qualifications

  • Paralegal or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Awareness of discretion and confidentiality requirements.
  • Proficiency with IT and MS Office, including Word.

Responsibilities

  • Support solicitors and counsel in investigations by assisting with formal notices to recover evidence and by analyzing documents.
  • Redact documents and evidence with records team to enable release to parties and publication on website.
  • Assist with preparation of findings in fact and business reports.
  • Assist with records preparation for the Record of the Inquiry to be transmitted to NRS.
  • Assist Solicitor to assess accounts of expenses for funded parties.
  • Prepare papers for counsel and the Inquiry's statement-taking team; undertake ad hoc administrative tasks.
