Job summary

Thames Water is seeking an Inventory Operator to join the Inventory Operations and Supply Management team at Rye Meads. You will safeguard stock, provide real-time visibility, and support incident-related operations across Thames Water locations.

Responsibilities include operating equipment, using SAP, updating records, loading/unloading, and ensuring on-time delivery of critical stock. 45 hours/week, Monday-Friday on a rota basis.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience is essential.
• Valid, full UK driving licence and own transport.
• Basic computer skills, especially Excel, are required.
• FLT licence is beneficial but not essential; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate mechanical handling equipment safely.
• Use SAP to reflect real-time inventory levels.
• Update stock records accurately.
• Load and unload vehicles safely and securely.
• Manage daily receipts from Distribution Centres.
• Process returns against work orders.
• Keep the site clean and well-organised.
• Ensure timely delivery and collection of critical stock and equipment.
