Job description
Overview

Our client is looking to appoint an Inventory and Logistics Coordinator to join their Supply Chain team, supporting inventory management, goods in and dispatch activities as the business continues to grow.

This is a hands-on role offering real responsibility, variety and opportunities for development, all within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Safe unloading, stocking and booking in of goods, maintaining accurate inventory in the ERP system.
  • Picking, dispensing and distributing materials to production in line with the production plan.
  • Supporting procurement by processing requisitions, raising purchase orders and liaising with suppliers.
  • Preparing finished goods for dispatch, including pallet builds, labelling, paperwork and coordination with freight forwarders.
  • Carrying out stock reconciliations, cycle counts and annual stock activities.
  • Participating in continuous improvement projects, including Lean and Six Sigma initiatives.
  • Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, health and safety in the warehouse.
Knowledge and Experience required
  • Experience in inventory or stores within a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of dispatch, preparing shipping paperwork and dealing with freight forwarders.
  • Understanding of ERP systems.
  • Counterbalance Forklift licence essential.
  • Hands-on, proactive approach with a passion for process improvement and continuous improvement.
  • Team player who can build strong working relationships with colleagues.
  • Thrives working in a busy, dynamic environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
