Job summary

A logistics and manufacturing company in Fareham is seeking an Inventory & Logistics Coordinator to manage shipping and receiving processes. The successful candidate will ensure inventory accuracy, comply with quality standards, and assist with inbound/outbound logistics. A valid forklift licence and experience in a similar environment are preferred. This position offers a stable work schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday.

Overview

Our engineering and manufacturing clients have an exciting opportunity for an Inventory & Logistics Coordinator to join their growing team in Fareham.

Responsibilities
  • Shipping, receiving and inventory management.
  • Assist the Operations Team and Supply Chain Team by ensuring goods are booked in on time, jobs are picked and available to be built when required.
  • Work closely with Service to ensure quick turnaround of faulty components.
  • Cost effective courier selection, ensuring contracted services are adhered to for on-time delivery (couriers meeting SLA), process claims as required.
  • Coordinate and schedule shipments, meeting customer delivery and expectations.
  • Action all delays with outbound shipments.
  • Assist with inbound shipment delays.
  • Offer ideas to improve 7S within the organisation.
  • Comply with and maintain all 7S practices, reporting any issues to management.
  • Ensure full compliance with the company's Quality, Health & Safety, and other relevant policies.
  • Keep stores clean, organised, labelled, and controlled.
  • Perform all work safely and follow all required standards.
  • Ensure all goods are securely packaged to prevent transit damage.
  • Follow all customer special instructions for shipment.
  • Accurately record all goods received in ERP system.
  • Complete all required receiving documentation (domestic and international).
  • Ensure inventory accuracy at all times within the Stores environment.
Skills & Experience
  • Shipping, receiving and inventory management experience
  • Experience working in a similar stores environment within a manufacturing business
  • Experience using an inhouse data system
  • Previous or current forklift licence
