Inventory Controller Job Description

As an Inventory Controller, you will be responsible for coordinating and communicating the delivery status of live purchase orders and scheduling incoming goods based on current or predicted customer demand.

Responsibilities
  1. Maintain MRP data related to min/max stock levels.
  2. Review the company’s inventory profile in line with sales demand and stock turns, and suggest re-ordering for MPR product categories.
  3. Expedite external suppliers according to PO requirements and ensure timely and accurate communication with the business.
  4. Oversee the updating of Purchase Orders regarding delivery dates within the company’s IT system.
  5. Implement effective regular communication with suppliers on delivery performance and documentation.
  6. Monitor stock levels and create scheduling of purchase orders based on current and forecasted sales requirements.
  7. Make purchase suggestions to the Buyer to fulfill live customer orders affected by delays.
  8. Manage and maintain positive relationships with key suppliers and internal customers.
  9. Regularly review working practices and processes, and implement improvement initiatives throughout the Supply Chain function.
